1. About This Project

Christ Himself — A Daily Devotional (christhimself.com) is a personal ministry project providing daily Scripture readings, pastoral reflections, and guided prayer content. It is not a commercial enterprise.

The site offers:

• Daily devotional content in English, European Portuguese, and Parisian French
• A public JSON API for accessing the devotional corpus
• Embeddable JavaScript widgets for third-party websites
• Audio podcast feeds in all three languages

2. Content Ownership

All original content — Pastoral summaries, 4R reflection questions, audio recordings, and all other original writing on this site are © 2026 Steve Moitozo. All rights reserved unless explicitly licensed.

AI disclosure — AI tools were used to support editing, translation, and audio production. Scripture content was never manipulated by AI — every verse was deterministically copied from authoritative published translations (BSB, BLJ, LSG).

Scripture text is from published Bible translations and is used under their respective licenses:

• BSB (Berean Standard Bible) — Public domain
• BLJ (Bíblia Livre de Jenkins) — Used under license from bible.helloao.org
• LSG (Louis Segond 1910) — Public domain

Verse selection follows the 1800s Daily Light on the Path schedule (Bagster Family, London) — public domain.

3. API & Data License

The devotional content served via the JSON API (original summaries and 4R questions) is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).

This means you may:

• Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format
• Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material

Under the following terms:

• Attribution — You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to christhimself.com, and indicate if changes were made
• NonCommercial — You may not use the material for commercial purposes
• ShareAlike — If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your contributions under the same license

Scripture text and verse references are not covered by this license — they are governed by their respective translation licenses as noted in Section 2.

If you require a broader license (commercial use, different terms), contact me.

4. Permitted Use

You may freely:

• Read the devotional on the website
• Embed the widgets on your own website (personal, ministry, or non-commercial)
• Subscribe to and listen to the podcast feeds
• Access the API for non-commercial applications with attribution
• Share links to individual devotional entries

You may not:

• Scrape or bulk-copy the content for commercial AI training (see AI Information page)
• Misrepresent the content as your own
• Use the API in a way that imposes unreasonable load on the server

5. Disclaimer

The devotional content is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The author makes no guarantees about accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.

The Scripture quotations are reproduced from the translations noted above. While every effort is made to ensure accuracy, the author is not responsible for transcription errors in verse text sourced from third-party APIs.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Steve Moitozo or Christ Himself — A Daily Devotional be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from the use of the website, API, widgets, or podcast content.

7. Third-Party Services

This site uses:

• Cloudflare — CDN, DNS, and hosting infrastructure
• Cloudflare R2 — Audio file storage for podcast episodes

These services have their own terms of service and privacy policies. The author is not responsible for their operation.

8. Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be posted with an updated "last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
