Privacy Policy

Overview

Christ Himself — A Daily Devotional collects minimal data. There are no user accounts, no comment sections, no e-commerce, and no newsletter signups. The site exists to serve daily devotional content freely.

What We Collect

Automatically Collected (via Cloudflare)

• IP address — Standard web server logging
• Browser type and version — Standard HTTP headers
• Referrer URL — Where you came from to reach the site
• Page requested — Which pages you visited

This data is used for basic operational purposes (analytics, abuse prevention) and is retained according to Cloudflare's standard logging practices.

Analytics Beacon

The site uses a lightweight analytics beacon (/api/v1/ping) that records:

• Widget type viewed (homepage, devotional widget, or audio player)
• Language selected
• Referrer URL
• Timestamp

This data is stored in Cloudflare KV with a 180-day TTL. No personal identifiers are collected. The beacon is fire-and-forget via navigator.sendBeacon() and does not set cookies.

Cookies

This site does not set tracking cookies. The only local storage used is:

• localStorage — Your language preference (devotional-lang) is saved locally so the site remembers your language choice on return visits. This is stored in your browser only and is never sent to the server.

Third-Party Services

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare's privacy policy governs their handling of HTTP request data. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Podcast Analytics

Podcast RSS feeds are served via Cloudflare Pages Functions. Standard HTTP request logging applies (IP, user agent, timestamp, range headers). This is used solely for aggregate download counts and abuse prevention.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade any collected data. Automatically collected data is processed by Cloudflare for standard hosting operations and is not shared with third parties except as required by law.

Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access data collected about you
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to processing

Since this site collects no personal identifiers beyond standard HTTP logging, these rights are largely inherent in the design — there is nothing to access, delete, or object to beyond what Cloudflare logs for all visitors.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the "last updated" date will be updated. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
